About Us

Blanding Utah is home to the Utah State University –Blanding Education Center, located on the San Juan Campus along with the College of Eastern Utah. USU offers upper division and graduate degree classes, while CEU-SJ has the community college role of offering lower division classes, certain certificates, endorsements and vocational training programs. Our Area not only offers a wide variety of unique landscapes from the tops of the Blue, Abajo and Elk mountain ranges which drop off into slopping plateaus and jagged deep canyons full of Indian ruins and unique places worth visiting. We are centrally located in the heart of San Juan County, which is the biggest county in the State of Utah. San Juan County has 7 different breath taking National Parks and Monuments. The main diverse populations of Anglo, Navajo, Ute, and an intermingling of other ethnic groups, offers a variety of exceptional experiences in your education while being sensitive to culture, customs, and language.

 

USU-SJ offers Certificates, Endorsements, Associate, Bachelor, Masters and Post-secondary Doctorate degrees in the general areas of education, business, computers, and technology. Advanced technology has enhanced our pathway in gaining an education by not only having face to face classes with excellent and interested instructors, but by having additional classes available through Video broadcast, which uses the internet with two way audio and video and on-line classes for self-pacing students. The Utah State San Juan Service Region includes Family Learning Centers located in the communities of Monticello, Monument Valley, and Montezuma Creek along with the San Juan Campus here in Blanding. Classes can be taken at any one of the Learning Centers or here on the main San Juan Campus. You can both start and finish your educational experience while living in San Juan County, Utah and gaining a lifetime of wonderful memories in a world class diverse and cultural setting.
